Chesapeake Bay Charter Fishing Boat

The Natural Light is a 40′ long and over 14′ wide Chesapeake Bay charter boat. She was custom built in Crisfield, MD, by Evans Boat Works in 2004. The design of the Natural Light gives us an amazing amount of fishing and cabin room. She has a 450 Cummings Turbo diesel which is located under the floor. We have no engine box sticking up, which gives you and your party that much more room to enjoy your trip.

She has private bathroom facilities downstairs and also plenty of room to lay down if you need to take a nap. We are able to enclose part of the cockpit to keep you warm on those cool Spring and Fall mornings.

We have all Coast Guard inspected safety equipment and all state of the art electronics on board. You and your party’s safety is our first priority.

Captain Frank Updike, Sr.

Captain Frank, Sr. has fished the bay and ocean over 40 years and has spent most of his adult life taking fishing parties out of Ocean City, MD as well as Kent Island on the bay. Capt. Frank does not like to come back to the dock without fish. He will do everything he can to try to keep this from happening.

Captain Frank Updike, Jr.

Mate/Captain Frank Jr. has over 20 years experience fishing the bay and ocean. He has been mating in the bay and ocean for most of his adult life. He will work very hard for you and will not quit until his job is done.
